Ditching PayPal?

When PayPal came out (more than 13 years ago) it was an innovative, inexpensive and ground-breaking service. As a web designer, I was thrilled. But as time went on and technology and the internet began growing by leaps and bounds, I started to lose faith in PayPal. I have recently decided to stop accepting PayPal as forms of payment for my business for many different reasons — the main one being, they won’t give me access to my money. (This kind of defeats the purpose of getting paid I think…) Anyway, all that aside, I found this interesting article today that provides a few alternatives. Check it out and decide for yourself.

Why You Should Ditch PayPal and Use These Other Services to Send People Money

  1. Thanks for posting this, Keri! I’ve never really believed in PayPal, although it seemed to help some folks. Recently I decided I ought to get on the bandwagon (however belated) and tried out their services for receiving and sending a couple of payments.

Ugh! I agree with your comments above. They put a lot of barriers up between me and my money.

Thanks for the link to some alternatives, I’ll definitely be trying them out!
